"Surgical decision unit"

About: University Hospital Of North Tees

I have used this hospital all through my life and have always praised the staff and the way they go above on beyond until now. I have never witnessed anything like what I have seen on the surgical descision unit, staff laughing and chatting at the desk eating and drinking whilst people are sat for hours often in extreme pain and when you ask for any assistance none is given. I appreciate its a work place and I'm all for staff moral but like any other workplace you would socliase on your breaks and not be unprofessional. I had to spend over 6 hours asking for pain relief as it was never wrote down and forgot again and again, for me it's just a recipe for disaster. There just doesn't seem to be any kind of management present on this ward at all and very little discipline.
