"Sent from one doctor to another"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Children's Ward

(as a service user),

My daughter suffered from headaches for over a year, sent from one doctor to another, the final doctor we saw at Larbert said that it was a common migraine and they would do nothing. But her condition worsened so I asked for a referral to a hospital elsewhere. At this point the doctor's tone became more aggressive and they raised their voice, making derogatory comments about the doctors at other hospitals.

When we went elsewhere, these doctors who they made negative comments about, after the first visit and blood sampling, quickly found anemia that was the likely cause of the headaches.

Dear Criss,

I am sorry to read that you have not had a great experience in our hospital with your daughter.

Please get in touch with me directly if you wish to discuss this further.

Kind regards

Karen
