"Really awful "

I called the center as I have an autistic daughter with high needs. She had something stuck in her nose that needed removing and she is non verbal and finds a&a extremely traumatic. I simply called to ask if they would be able to help her and were the wait times shorter/ environment less hectic than a&e. The receptionist was pretty rude in her response and very unsympathetic to the reason I called. She basically told me in more words that I might as well go to a&e and they wouldn't do anything to accommodate the fact my daughter is disabled. It's no wonder a&es are so rammed when every other health service directs you there straight away. This wasn't an emergency, and exactly the type of thing I would expect an urgent care facility to be able to help with, but it seemed that even simply asking for advice was asking too much.
