"Wasting patients time and money."

About: Stirling Medical Centre (Mathews)

(as the patient),

I received a text to send a blood pressure reading online. I rang the surgery to explain that I do not have any facilities at home to do this so could I make an appointment to come in to have the BP check. I was told by the receptionist that I could come in on the Monday as this was a walk in surgery day, and that I didn't need to make an appointment. I have mobility issues so ordered a taxi to get me there then home at the cost of £10.

I arrived at 11:00 am as I had asked the receptionist if this time was ok. I was told the time didn't matter as a walk in surgery. When I arrived the receptionist said no appointment had been made for me so I explained the above mentioned. Then I was told there was no nurse available to do my BP check. This was a total waste of my time and money. The surgery receptionists could do better. Highly dissatisfied. Quite cross.
