"Fantastic care"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

My husband and I would like to send on our thanks to all of the staff at Crosshouse Maternity Unit. Having suffered from previous miscarraiges we were extremely anxious when I became pregnant and experienced a few scares throughout my pregnancy

We visited EPAS a few times initially and later the Day Care and Out of Hours unit for scans and checkups. The care we received was first class and every member of staff treated us with understanding, respect and dignity. We were absolutely terrified we would lose our baby but everyone who looked after us was incredibly caring and helped massively to reassure us and keep us calm.

After a failed induction I was taken for a C Section. The theatre staff were absolutely amazing, they each introduced themselves and thoroughly explained the surgery prior to, and also throughout the procedure. Athough I'm sure they must deliver thousands of babies, every one of them made ours feel like 'the first'. They all made it such an enjoyable experience for us.

We will never be able to explain how grateful we are to you all but hope you know how wonderful each and every one of you are and what a positive impact you had on our journey.

Our baby boy arrived safely and healthy.

Thank you so much!
