"Kept informed"

I arrived into hospital on Thursday night after having a fall at home and breaking my hip. I received an operation on Saturday morning and all went successfully. The staff in orthopaedics have been simply wonderful- nothing is a trouble. I am always aware of my care plan and kept informed about my scans and any information regarding my surgery. I have noticed how the staff always take the time to explain everything thoroughly and break down any terminology that I may not understand (which is quite a lot!)- this I really appreciate. The food is nice, however I am quite a picky eater so I don't really vary my choices. I am staying indefinitely for rehabilitation and then a care plan will be put in place for me at home.
