My daughter has been suffering in silence for over 6 years with OCD. She only spoke up about it a month ago as she had reached breaking point and started suffering panic attacks that, since she told us, have been getting worse, lasting up to 14 hours at times. Getting help when she is in such a bad way has been tough, constantly feeling like we’re talking to brick walls.
After numerous calls to the GP, to CAMHS & 2 attendances at A&E she was given an emergency appointment with CAMHS today with two of the most lovely people I've ever met, Michelle & Peter. They were wonderful throughout the appointment, full of empathy & understanding, even how they spoke was very calming & my daughter was so relieved that they were taking her seriously. We know this is the beginning of her journey to getting better, but thanks to Michelle & Peter for giving us the hope that we were so desperately looking for.
