"A very caring service"

About: Royal Bournemouth Hospital

My 8 year old granddaughter Antonia Heathcoat fell and fractured her wrist on Friday 8 July so we attended the minor injuries department. She was very distressed due to the pain but also because we were due to go on holiday the following day and she was worried that she wouldn't be able to go.

From the moment we walked through the door, she was treated with the utmost care by everyone we encountered. She soon dried her tears as she was guided through the system and the little girl who left the hospital a couple of hours later was a different child (and still got to go on holiday!)

Thank you so much to everyone involved for the excellent care she received. It was much appreciated.

Dear Caroline

We hope you had a lovely holiday and Antonia wasn’t too hindered by her injury.

Thank you for taking the time to send us feedback now you are back from your holiday and what a pleasure it is to receive such kind words, as I am sure it must have been a stressful time for you all, especially that close to going away.

We are pleased you found the care of the utmost quality and the compassionate nature of the staff was enough to lift your granddaughter out of her despair.

We will share your kind comments with the staff and managers from the Emergency Department as they will certainly appreciate them.

Regards

Patient Experience Team
