(as a service user),

In late May, my breathlessness became so problematic I visited my GP, at Marnock Centre, Kilmarnock. I was quickly assessed by my GP and found to be dangerously anaemic. I was referred to Crosshouse where a bleed in my stomach was discovered. After wonderful care by the assessment staff, I was operated on at the beginning of July. Thanks to a fantastic team, the operation was successful, and I stayed in ward 4B for six days to recover. The staff in 4B were tremendous. All the wonderful things one hears about NHS staff could easily be about those who cared for me there over that time. I'm now successfully recovering at home. This is a huge thanks to all those who, with competence and a warm heart, effectively saved my life.

Thank you so much for taking the time and trouble to share your lovely feedback. The last few months must have been a very stressful time for you and the staff in 4B will be delighted to hear that you felt so well supported and cared for. The team will be thrilled to receive your kind comments.

With all best wishes for your ongoing recovery.

Linda
