Before my detox I had been prescribed methadone and was alcohol dependent. I was admitted to the service to complete a detox of both substances which was done over a 19 day period, I found it rough at first. The staff were excellent, food has been great and I found there was a lot of support from the recovery workers, nurses and other patients. Now I am at the end of my stay I feel bit anxious moving on to rehab but apart from that I feel great, healthy and positive.

The team endeavour to always ensure your stay here is as comfortable as it can be, so it's really nice to hear you had such a positive experience regarding the prepared meals and and the supportive staff members.

It's completely normal to feel anxious and uneasy about moving on but it's another step forward in the right direction. You must be so very proud of yourself for everything you have, and continue to achieve!

We're really thankful for your feedback and are so very pleased you had such a positive experience within the DCDS unit.
