"Unbelievable Good Service"

A couple months ago I developed very bad knee pain and entered the health service via A&E.  Whilst there was an expected long wait (6hours) I went  through triage quickly and ended up seeing an orthopaedic specialist quite quickly. I later had a referral to a specialist which subsequently led to an operation this week. I have been totally impressed by the friendly and efficient service provided by all departments within Forth Valley NHS. The porters who ferried me around all took time to chat and help make me feel relaxed. The A&E receptionist was friendly and polite in what I should imagine must be a difficult frontline position trying to satisfy people’s expectations amidst long waits. The nurses again all very good including fresh new student nurses who helped with my care on the day of my operation. The consultant explained clearly what my issues were and how he would try and resolve things. The operation seems to have gone well and whilst the day of the operation was an anxious time all staff helped me through it very often with humour and kindness.
