(as a service user),

When I arrived I really did not know what to expect, was scared and did not want to be there. I did not know what I was getting into and what the outcome would be. I was made to feel welcome on my arrival and from there on in it felt like a second home. I was given full support and felt like a second family. Once the detox got started, was when I realised how much the staff cared and deserve all the credit they get. The chef was amazing and the food was great. The accommodation is smart and the ensuit was nice but could do with a shower mat.

It's completely normal to feel anxious when you first arrive at DCDS but I'm so thankful you felt welcomed and supported.

The team endeavour to always ensure your stay here is as comfortable as it can be, so it's really nice to hear you had such a positive experience regarding the prepared meals and accommodation. I shall definitely feedback your idea regarding a shower mat!
