This is about my daughter, she has suffered from mental health issues now for a few years, but over the last 3 months things have been really severe with what they bracket FND. Umbrella symptoms, even going into epilepsy centre for 3 weeks to try get diagnosis. She has been taking seizures that affect her body movement, when it happens she sometimes loses the use of her legs, arms speech, for up too a few minutes to hours, including not knowing if she’s needing the toilet.
This is where a phone call and a visit or two from Gillian & Jennifer, from the Lanarkshire continence team, Hunter health centre East Kilbride. After them seeing my daughter seizure up to 12 times and losing consciousness they decided it’s time for hospital and called an ambulance, even though there shift had finished both of them waited till the ambulance took my daughter to hospital. Follow up visits from them got my daughter the help she required as they contacted everyone that needed to be involved in her care. My daughter is now slowly recovering in ward 20 psychiatric unit in hairmyres.
Coming home soon to follow up her care with phycologist in the community. My very grateful thanks to both of these health professionals for seeing my daughter as a 21 year old person instead of some seeing her as a problem , with their help now my daughter will get better I’m sure thank you ,💙
