I was admitted to AAH for emergency surgery on 21st June and discharged on Friday afternoon 24th June. My stomach wound required dressing on a daily basis and as I was unable to contact my surgery to arrange a nurse over weekend. I was told to attend EMSU at AAH until I did. I failed to get any response from surgery on the Monday which is some 11 miles from where I live whereas AAH is just 5/10 mins from home.
Staff in EMSU advised me just to attend them as it was easier for me but also so that they could keep watch on my wound. I am still attending them every other day now. The staff have given me wonderful care in my treatment and deserve credit for their work. Their actions have made life for my wife more bearable as she has had to take me to hospital as I'm unable to drive at present so credit to EMSU and all the staff
"The staff have given me wonderful care"
