Unit was super busy- busier than usual for a Monday morning, I understand- but I was very impressed with the efficiency and professionalism of the team. I had gone to the ED in Republic of Ireland with this injury (diagnosed as a wrist sprain, with no particular advice given) and because of swelling, bruising and continued pain, went to MIU this morning. Confirmed scaphoid fracture and dealt with efficiently. What a contrast in care. Thank you NHS.
