"Very poor administration"

About: Pound House Surgery

Was expecting a call from the pharmacist which did not materialise. Phoned reception to find out why.

Was told that they had phoned the land line number instead of the mobile number (as had been requested).

Was then told that they did not have the mobile number, in spite of the fact that they had used this number in the past, and had sent a SMS message confirming the phone appointment.

Was then told that a blood pressure test was required even though this had already been done - not sure if this has been mislaid.

Had to then escalate the issue to urgent as now running out of medication.

I realise that surgeries are under pressure at the moment, but they are not helping themselves by seemingly poor administration.

Dear patient,

Thank you for your feedback.

As the practice manager I welcome all feedback whether that be good or bad and in turn review and improve our internal processes.

As the post is anonymous it is difficult to get to the bottom of what happened. I can only apologies for the confusion and feed back to the pharmacist.

Kind Regards

Claire Sharma
