"Colonoscopy appointment"

About: Victoria Hospital / Colorectal Unit

(as a service user),

I doubt that anyone will say that the colonoscopy procedure is a trivial process. That said, how staff handled this patient’s anxiety was first class.

Consideration from the receptionist in Queen Margaret, providing the bowel cleansing pack containing an unpleasant but tolerable drink mix, to the ward reception at Victoria hospital where staff receive you with empathy and understanding, regardless of the fact that they are dealing with what for staff is a routine recurring procedure.

Patient care was a priority for all medical staff. The procedure completed with little or no discomfort. The post procedure feedback from staff was brief and clear. Cup of tea and then departure to make space for the next patient.

Hi, It is lovely to read your positive comments when you were being prepared and then attended for an endoscopy. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Regards Arlene
