I visited Gate 8b today to have a gynae procedure repeated as the first attempt was unsatisfactory.
I had been given the option to have the procedure done in theatre with sedation or anaesthetic as I did not tolerate it too well the first time. However because my first experience was excellent in regard to the care and support I received, I chose to have it done in outpatients again.
I was extremely anxious but as soon as I saw the nurse, who had been involved in my care the first time, I immediately knew I would be in good hands. I cannot mention her name on here but she knows who she is
and once again was amazing.
I am a nurse myself working for the trust and I know how extremely difficult the job can be but positive feedback makes it all worthwhile and it is the best job in the world.
So to all the staff on Gate 8b, keep doing what you do well and remember that a little bit of kindness goes a long way.
Thank you.
