"Excellent care in hospital and after"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / General medicine (Wards 5d)

(as a service user),

My elderly mum was admitted to ward 5D in QEUH and the care she received was excellent. All staff were very kind and attentive and she cannot praise them highly enough. As a family this was very reassuring to know that she was being well looked after. Our hospitals are under extreme pressure with staff working extremely hard and under pressure but as a healthcare professional it makes me very proud to see that all staff strive to deliver excellent care. I was communicated with by the staff to keep me up to date on her day of discharge and this went very smoothly with all support services in place for her getting home.

Dear regent

Thank you for sharing your feedback on Care Opinion it's very much appreciated.

It was great to hear of the fantastic care and treatment your mum received while she was an inpatient in Ward 5D of the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

I can only begin to imagine how worried you and all the family must have been while your mum was under our care so to hear she was so well looked after by all the staff is very heart warming.

I was also happy to hear the staff kept you in the loop when it came to your mum's discharge and everything went to plan.

I hope she is feeling a lot better now

Kind regards

Kevin
