Yesterday (06/07), I visited the Walk-in-Centre at Tameside General Hospital, because I had a rash on my legs. I was asked if I wanted to take part in a survey, regarding diabetes and I said yes.
I was then tested to see if I was diabetic and thankfully I wasn't. However because the number was 40, I was given advice regarding food and walking etc., which could prevent me catching diabetes. Due to the fact that I was once a diet cook, in a Bolton hospital and I worked under the supervision of a Dietician, I would recommend anyone to have the test and take part in the survey, if they are asked to do so.
"Great practice"
