About: King George Hospital

Took my 91 year old Mother to King George A&E after a fall. Not allowed into A&E without a red or yellow ticket! Had to queue for an hour, no seating available. Thought we were seeing a triage nurse, but only took my mother's temperature and stats. Then had to queue again for triage nurse. Again no seats. Eventually saw triage nurse, not interested. Once I told her my Mother had fallen and possibly fractured her hip, was told they were too busy that day to deal with serious incidents I would have to take her to Queens. The nurse did not question my Mother or examine her. Was advised if your not happy take it up with senior management. PELC, senior management and board of directors at this trust are not fit for purpose. Every single one of them should reconsider their position. Cattle being taken to an abbattoir are treat better.

Thank you for taking the time to make us aware of your feedback, we are so sorry to hear the concerns that you have raised. The Urgent Treatment Centre is not managed by Barking, Havering and Redbridge NHS Hospital Trust it is managed by Partnership of East London Co-operative (PELC).
