"Outstanding, diligent and endlessly kind"

About: Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital

Picked up during routine screening, I was confirmed with stage 2 breast cancer within four days and had surgery in October 21. Between December 21 and Apr 22 I received chemotherapy & radiotherapy at Basingstoke Hospital.

The oncologists, the cancer care nurses and care in general were outstanding. They dealt reassuringly with all aspects of care including multiple allergic reactions, kept to the treatment schedule, and ensured I had all the pre-tests needed.

When faced with a broken radiotherapy machine, they found me a same day appointment in Southampton, so we kept to my schedule. Covid wasn't allowed to get in the way.

Throughout, they have been supportive, patient and generous with their time.

I could not have asked for more. Thank you to the Rainbow Unit and the team in Radiotherapy.
