"The hospital have been outstanding in all my care"

About: Glenfield Hospital / Respiratory medicine

(as the patient),

June 2021 biopsy at Glenfield Hospital ward 26. I was diagnosed biphasic malignant mesothelioma. Prognosis was poor. I was offered and received an EPD operation at the start of July 2021 in the same ward. Back home by mid July . After six weeks, I was cycling and walking for typically one hour daily. Within three months I was fully active with outdoor activities in full swing. After one year I am continuing with a fully active life.

The CT scans and reviews have been every three months at Glenfield. From diagnosis to the present time, the hospital have been outstanding in all my care, appointments, and reviews. I am so grateful to ward 26 and all the surgeons, nurses and care staff for giving me such a wonderful year of life. Here’s looking forward to another one!
