"Service is great but waiting times are appalling"

About: East Surrey Hospital

I have been asked to go to the Ante Natal Day Unit a number of times. And despite having a scheduled appointment…the last 3 times in the last week I have been attended to +3 hours after my appointment. The midwives are great however once you check in you don’t actually get an update how long the waiting time is likely to be or where you are on the waiting list. It seems appointment times are arbitrary, you’ll get seen when you get seen…communication with patients could definitely be better.

I am so sorry for the delays you have experienced. We hope to launch a new Triage system at the end of July, which is separate from scheduled appointments. Our aim is to reduce waiting times and improve our users experiences, which we believe we will be able to do with our new Triage.

Once again we apologise for the poor experiences you have had.
