Arrived at a and e dept via ambulance following fall during the night. Ambulance response 25 mins. No waiting when I arrived at a and e. Was given blood tests, cardiac and a ct scan to my head. Was made comfortable in a bay and regular blood pressure tests etc were done throughout the night.
Had to wait for results from tests and to see a doctor to discharge me.
Was served breakfast whilst I waited.
All the while the staff worked hard and you could see their enthusiasm, albeit that the dept was not over- busy.
On seeing the lady doctor. I was asked a number of questions relating to my fall and given instructions to help my condition, in a helpful way, before I was discharged.
You hear awful experiences of a and e depts but I must say mine was anything but.
Have never visited the hospital before as I was staying with my son. I rate your a and e dept a far better experience than the one I had in my own town.
Well done. Your staff are a credit to you. Thankyou.
