My husband ( elderly, disabled since hip op) had a bad fall on patio 20 june 2022, at 7p.m. Managed to get up with help. Feeling worse by 10pm rung 111. Waited all night for ambulance. Paramedics came at 6.30 am, extremely curteous & kind as they all are. Despite A&E premises very small and not exactly designed for the number of people, the staff were well organised, efficient and very considerate. Senior doctor examined him thoroughly ,sent him for a scan. Then was advised as to what the results were. He was also offered some physiotherapy and a new stronger walking stick .
I picked him up at about 4pm and he was in pain but delighted with his treatment and told me all about the professionalism of the whole team .
NHS beeing in the poor state it is, we, like a lot of people, are very disappointed with the lack of care we receive, mainly with lack of doctors appointments, however we felt we should praise the treatment my husband received and let you know.
Congratulations to the staff, it makes a whole lot of difference. Thank you .
"Great dedicated staff"
