About: Castlegate and Derwent Surgery

I am relatively new to the practice from the first time I requested a repeat prescription I started to get messages… urgently require blood test, make app with diabetic nurse for a review, heart review (These checks did not take place in my previous practice, no apps, no phone calls etc)

I was flabbergasted, honestly.

I made an appointment right away with the diabetic nurse and whilst I was very nervous meeting new healthcare professionals after so long with the same practice, I was soon put totally at ease, very friendly, compassionate, extremely knowledgeable, thorough and so caring in the way she approached my needs and the lack of them in the past. She was wonderful.

We live in a world full of negativity and negative people that thrive on making a complaint. Instead of looking at exactly what is available to patients of this practice, I’m absolutely delighted that I decided to change, I didn’t find the decision easy at 65 having the same practitioner for so long but I would not hesitate to recommend Castlegate and Derwent surgery to anybody that is a bit doubtful the transformation in my care has never been better, thank you
