"Reassuring Podiatry service"

About: Borders Community Services / Podiatry

(as a parent/guardian),

My 17 year old autistic son was anxious about getting a partial nail removal on his toe, and I have to admit that I was a bit nervous about it too!

When we went for his appointment, the podiatrist was very kind and cheerful. She put us right at ease. She was so patient and took her time with us, explaining everything that would happen and giving my son time to think when he needed it.

The injections for numbing his toe were painful, but with Ellen's constant help and reassurance, we got through it. The rest of the procedure was easy after that.

Ellen turned what could have been a stressful situation into a manageable one. Her calm cheer really put us at ease.

Subsequent check ups with her have been the same. It's easy to get my son to go to them because he knows that Ellen will take really good care of him!

Thank-you for taking the time to leave this really positive feedback about our podiatry service, and Ellen in particular. I have passed on the feedback to her directly and she was very appreciative.

Podiatry, like many NHS service has had a challenging time over the last 2 years and recieving positive feedback like this really encourages and supports staff who are trying their upmost for thier patients.

Thank you again

Paul Williams
