"If only this was a typical hospital"

Popped in today to "deliver" an 86 year old friend for an X ray, and then she went back in to leave a message for a doctor about her eye problem.

First of all, I could not imagine any NHS receptionist listening to my friend babbling on about her eye drops, but not only did that happen, but the lady on repeption made a phone call to the department and promised a contact from the doctor - who then actually called her at home later the same day!

Parking is superb, the staff we spoke to are helpful and upbeat and whilst I was waiting for her, I chatted to a couple of locals who had just come out and all the comments were positive from informed and happy patients. It's incredible! The efficiency is superb and the manners impeccable. Restored my faith in the NHS and the excellent staff employed. Never, did I expect to see myself writing such a review about a hospital. Well done, please don't change, please spread your good practise elsewhere. You have my gratitude and respect.
