Admitted to pilgrim hospital Boston for what turned out to be a 6 night stay. That stay was a fairly positive NHS experience however on the last night I developed classic covid symptoms which got worse as the morning went on. As I was being discharged I did not want to take covid into my home I asked for a covid test so I would know what precautions to take, this was flatly refused, saying they can’t test for it anymore. When I reminded them I had one prior to coming up on the wards, it was repeated that on the wards they can’t run those tests.
