My GP arranged for me to go to Shrewsbury hospital for a blood test as the one I had at my GP surgery came back showing my renal levels were down, I was there as a precautionary visit. I was seen reasonable quickly by the triage nurse, then I had to wait for the medical team on Ward 27.
After the usual expected waiting time in an busy emergency unit, I was seen post haste, and I was well cared for until my discharge the next day.
I hold all the stuff that cared for me in very high regard, they were very professional, efficient and dutiful to my needs, they were under a lot of pressure by some patients that were there at the same time as me, So I made sure I thanked each one of them that attended me, I’m only sorry if I missed anyone out because I think they all deserve a medal.
I was informed in detail of certain medicines that I shouldn’t take,( over the counter ibuprofen for pain), which could’ve been causing distress to my only kidney. and my usual medication doses reduced. My meals there were delicious,( I recommend the hunters chicken), all in all after a whirlwind unexpected hospital stay... If I could, I would give a gold medal to the staff on Ward 27 and the A&E at Shrewsbury hospital.
" caring and efficient"
