"Waiting time for first appointment"

I would like some communication just anything from the Gender Identity Clinic in Sheffield.  I have now been waiting for an appointment since June 2018 that’s 4 years.

According to the website they are seeing people from March 2018 but the website has been saying that since at least October 2021 meaning they haven’t made it through one month of referrals in 9 months. At this point I’ve lost all hope and am seriously suffering with my mental health. I am sick of the service attempting to blame covid which I feel is just not true.

The communication in this service in my opinion is truly awful. You can’t speak to anyone on the phone emails go completely unanswered. The website is lucky if it gets up dated very 6months I believe the last update was April how are they allowed to get away with this. 

I just feel like giving up. I can’t get onto any of these wonderful sounding pilot schemes as I live in Sheffield so not in any of these areas. Funnily enough I live a 10 min drive from this clinic. I have no choice but to wait but it’s crushing me. 

Please someone just tell us what you are actually doing to address this in real terms just saying we are working hard means nothing to me. What are you working hard on? when will changes be made? how is the service measured?
