"13 hour wait"

About: The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (King's Lynn)

Was in A and E waiting for 13 hours on a suspected PE, had to discharge myself Beacuse they were saying I had to wait another “couple” of hours for a CT scan this was all whilst sitting on a chair, no admitting or anything, information was not transferred from one shift to another so doctors were asking the same question no updates on timings either. Terrible service.

Thank you for taking your time to tell us about your experience recently in the A&E department at our hospital, I am sorry to hear that it was not a good one. It is important that we hear about bad as well as good experiences so that we can learn and try to put changes in place to improve the care that is provided. Please could you contact our PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Team) on 01553 613351 or via email PALS@qehkl.nhs.uk or myself directly so that we can investigate what happened.

Kind regards
