"Online messaging service is pointless!"

About: Mickleover Medical Centre

This feedback is regarding the online messaging service, which I find pointless particularly if you have a general enquiry and do not need to see anyone on the same day. Irrespective of whether the query is medical or not you receive a message asking you to telephone in as the the limit to online help has been exceeded for the day. Surely it would make sense that if the enquiry is general or didn't require an appointment on the day you can still leave a message and expect a reply within 48 hrs or so. Why would you direct patients to the telephone to clog up the line when there will be some that really need yo speak to someone forever waiting in the queue?

On another point, I cannot see anywhere on the website, not even under wellbeing that the surgery offers support for those going through menopause or those perimenopausal. Some practices have specially trained personnel in this field.
