"Day surgery"

I attended BGH today for surgery. I arrived at 7:30 am to the planned surgical unit and I cannot praise the experience highly enough. The nurses on the ward were all absolutely amazing. The surgeons (gynaecology)  were informative and reassuring and couldn’t be more helpful. The anaesthesiologist was also wonderful. From the moment I arrived I was treated with so much care and respect. I am honestly in awe. Walking into the operating theatre, everyone was so helpful and lovely and made me feel so much at ease. The recovery suite, back to the ward.   On the ward they were short staffed so the amazing nurses made us tea and toast - above and beyond what their roles are. They were just amazing! The whole process. You have some amazing staff working at the BGH. We are all aware of the stresses and strains the NHS are facing but the treatment I received today was five star. Never stopped smiling, couldn’t do enough for us. I was overwhelmed. The staff at BGH are an absolute credit to the NHS. Thank you to all the staff at BGH that looked after me today. Much respect
