"No service available"

I was refused an appointment on the grounds that "we don't do Covid". I needed to discuss my post-Covid recovery and the effects on my underlying health conditions, but the telephonist was adamant - "No".

Eventually I was able to book an appointment on the pretext of atrial fibrillation. When I got to see the GP he was baffled that the admin staff were giving out false information to discourage patients from seeing their GP.

The doctors themselves are good, but it's impossible to get to see them - they are very well protected by the admin staff.

This morning I was again refused an appointment - they simple don't offer appointments any longer, I was told. Baffling.

I am now hunting around for a better GP practice, one that offers appointments.
