"Wishaw a and e staff and wait"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I find the attitude of reception staff at the Wishaw A&E to honestly be a joke. I asked a simple question and got a rude and abrupt answer by a receptionist, who ignored another member of public during this time. 

I found them to be rude and unapologetic. I  just feel like after my 7 hour wait to see a doctor, a little common courtesy and care wouldn’t go a miss.

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience and highlight your concerns in relation to the attitude of staff.

This is not the standard of care that we would expect in any circumstance. Attending A & E is a stressful event and it is important that staff demonstrate kindness and compassion at all times.
