My husband was unfortunate enough to have 2 bites of the cherry and experience very poor events at D11 Queens Medical in Nottingham. During his first visit his trainers were stolen and on the second all of his belongings including his wash bag went missing!!
From our experience the care he received was appalling. He was left filthy, unkempt, in dirty mitts, had infection after infection. Little to no mouthcare, no soft sides on his bed despite him wriggling around due to a brain injury so he sustained extra injuries.
We found the lack of information or concern from staff was diabolical and the farce of obtaining updates or trying to FaceTime was nothing short of disgraceful. A long list of complaints was raised through the PALS service, generic sorry this happened and we've learnt from it response.
