"My journey with Inclusion"

About: Inclusion Recovery Hampshire / Aldershot

(as a service user),

Inclusion have helped me with my addiction & dependence on alcohol. Initially, they helped me to reduce my intake greatly. Then I was encouraged to attend various group sessions which I really did not want to do but actually this has been very helpful as it gave me the opportunity to interact with people who had been through similar experiences to me & had the same issues & struggles. I was not alone.

I was given the opportunity to take various training sessions and these have given me the knowledge that has enabled me to change my mindset & attitude towards alcohol and helped me understand what is important in life & how to make better choices to lead a happier life without being dependent on alcohol completely. I feel really happy that my life is turned around. I could not have done this without Inclusion.

The service is invaluable & the people who work there & volunteers are all amazing. It helped that they have all been through addictions themselves as I knew that they did understand exactly what I was going through & had been through & it made them very credible. I cannot thank Inclusion enough for the help & support I have been given. I am very grateful for being given this opportunity to change.

Thank you for your recent post and valuable feedback.

I am really pleased that you have found the support you have received from Inclusion Aldershot so helpful in your recovery and that you have found the experience of attending groups a positive one. Group work is extremely powerful in recovery. Even though everyone's path is different it gives you the opportunity to share experiences and know that you are not alone and along the way you are able to learn different coping strategies and skills to help overcome your own personal struggles and adapt to a new way of being.

I'm delighted that you are leading a happier life now and I wish you all the very best for the future. I will pass on your feedback to the Aldershot Team.
