I tripped and hit my arm on a sharp edge developing a very painful swollen bruise, I attended A&E on a sunday. I was triaged after 20 minutes, given painkillers, taken straight to x-ray, and after a further short wait saw a friendly and helpful doctor who explained the x-ray results to me and what to do. I left within the hour. Lovely helpful and caring staff. We are very lucky to have this fantastic A&E service in Southampton! I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs urgent medical care.
