"Nothing but praise for the entire unit"

I attended Wishaw General Day Surgery Unit at the end of May and had several procedures.

A rectal examination under anaesthetic (EUA) and surgery for anal fistula (Seton Sutures)

These procedures were carried out under spinal anaesthetic.

All the staff involved were superb. The nursing staff were particularly outstanding. They were professional, reassuring, incredibly funny and so,so helpful. They worked incredibly well as a team, being supportive to one another and of course, their patients. Nothing was too much trouble.

The theatre staff, surgeon and anaesthetist are also particularly noteworthy of praise. They again were reassuring, professional and efficient as they went about their duties. I was kept fully informed of my treatment as it progressed.

My discharge was worry free and followed up two days later by a telephone questionnaire to ensure everything was OK.

I have nothing but praise for the entire unit and hope this week to return with a gift by way of thanks to everyone involved in my treatment.
