Best not saying anything as following suicide attempts and voices and hallucinations telling me to harm myself and gone to the extent of acting on them and bad depression I’ve received lack of support and majority of the times I’ve either contacted enhanced access myself or I’ve been brought in for assessment after being detained by police on numerous occasions over the last 3 years and turned away with next to no support.
The minute the staff at unscheduled care read an eupd diagnosis they turn you away and to the extent of being told we don’t think you will act on your thoughts after an attempt.
There has only been maybe 4/5 occasions over the last 3 years I have been taken seriously and actually offered decent help but apart from that the system is failing big time at the enhanced access.
I’ve heard of many others that have been diagnosed with eupd being treated the exact same way and it’s appalling the way we get treated. I’ve lost all faith in the mental health system, community psychiatry is just as bad getting told if you take your own life we’re not going to stop you how is that helping anyone and refusing to relook at your diagnosis where is the duty of care when someone is clearly not in a sound place of mind?
