"Excellent response and crew"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a parent/guardian),

Today after a sudden on set of chest pain with my 3 year old who already has an extensive cardiac history , I had to call 999. Which is something I do not take lightly.

I was anxious worried as we haven't been in this situation for a while. As soon as the crew turned up which was very quickly may I add they instantly made her feel reassured and happy. They were simply excellent. They managed to do all their checks even a blood sugar with no tears at all due to their excellent communication with her. I could tell she just trusted them which as a mum means so much. I would just like for this to be passed on or shown to the ambulance service manager or crew from today and hopefully it gets the message to them.  I am aware how much pressure they are under at the moment but you would never know as they never shown any rush and made us feel like we had their 100% attention. Thank you , you really are an amazing service that we could just not do without.

Dear Lola1988

Thank you very much for taking the time to post your feedback here on Careopinion. I am so sorry to read about your wee girl experiencing chest pain. I can't begin to imagine how frightening this must've been for you all, even though you mention she has extensive cardiac history, this recent episode must have been a huge worry.

I am so pleased to read your lovely feedback about our crew providing reassurance and great communication. I hope this helped to make the situation less stressful. I would really love to pass on your kind words to our crew. If you would like me to do that for you, please may I kindly ask you contact our Feedback team as sas.feedback@nhs.scot with your little girl's name, your address and date of when we attended. It would be really useful if you could make reference to your username which will allow us to link up with this story.

I hope your wee girl is doing much better now

Thank you very much once again and I wish you all the very best

Kind Regards

Lesley
