"Recovering from Covid"

About: Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital / Respiratory medicine Edgware Community Hospital / Neurological Rehabilitation Centre

(as the patient),

In April 2020, I had Covid which resulted in a 3 month stay in hospital. During most of this time I was in an induced coma so oblivious to the pain. After my hospital stay I had to endure long covid for 18 months. Thankfully I am almost back to my original strength.

I have been helped by Neurological Rehabilitation Centre at the Royal Free London who have offered great support for clinical and mental well being. For that I am very grateful. Thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. It is lovely to hear of the care you have received from so many departments across the NHS.

I have shared your feedback with all those in the Intensive Care Unit at the Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital who provided care and treatment to you. I know they will be greatly encouraged by your words.

I do hope you continue to make a good recovery and thank you once again for taking the time to share your experience.
