About: Kettering General Hospital

After a bad fall, we drove to A&E. Waited to see a triage nurse for details and blood pressure, very efficient and well directed by her as to the process and where to go. We queued in a socially distanced way for reception. Receptionist was friendly and welcoming though she was under pressure. Booked in and we were referred to MIAMI, which having never used the hospital services before we thought amusing. There a nurse practitioner asked us to take aseat, then when a consulting room was free, she called us through. Checking my wrist , arm, shoulder all over to ensure no missed injuries, she took down all the details, administered pain relief and sent us to X-ray. Once again clear directions were given which was reassuring. After a short wait, a very attentive, professional radiographer took X-rays, and we were redirected back to Miami.

There the nurse practitioner identified with a colleague 2clean breaks, I was dressed , plastered given a sling support and clear follow up instructions.

We were out in less than 2 hours since arrival. Maybe we got lucky, but that service was exemplary. Thank you so much.
