About: Oncology / Five Day Unit - Chemotherapy

(as the patient),

Recently I finished my last chemotherapy cycle in the chemo day unit, Ninewells. The team are absolutely fantastic! 

The care, compassion and empathy I have had is definitely something to shout about! From the cups of tea, advice on how to cope with side effects with staff using a large knowledge base and a lovely happy atmosphere at a really difficult time…. Thank you!!! 

I’ve been directed by the team to additional services such as wig fitting and Maggies centre.

I met so many different members of the team, all of which took the time to chat and support when able. The senior charge nurse and senior nurse were visible within the unit and you could see excellent leadership and team working. 

Well done and thank you again.
