"Thank you for making what could have been a stressful visit so much easier"

(as a relative),

At the end of May we had to attend Wishaw A&E with my young nephew as he had injured his ankle and couldn’t weight bear. He was on the expects list & the receptionist Rachel picked up the alert right away that he was autistic.  She offered to let my sister wait in the car until they were ready for him & she would call her to save him getting distressed.

Fortunately minor injuries did not have many waiting and he was assessed, x-rayed & discharged within 45 minutes.  From the reception staff, medical & nursing staff and radiology the care and understanding was amazing. Thank you so much for making what could have been a very stressful visit for them much easier.

Thank you very much for getting in touch and for your comments in relation to the care your nephew received whilst having to attend our Emergency Department at University Hospital Wishaw after having an ankle injury.

It is very reassuring to read your comments and I will ensure that this is passed back to the staff for them to know that their care and personal attention is appreciated. I have no doubt they will be delighted for the feedback.
