"Thank you to the nice and knowledgeable staff"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as the patient),

A few weeks ago I fell and hurt my ankle. I rested it for a week before starting a job which requires a lot of walking. Despite the reduction in swelling the walking was causing me considerable pain.

I attended the MIU at the RAH in Paisley because I was worried that I’d potentially broken a bone. My ankle was x-rayed and luckily there isn’t a break however physiotherapy has been arranged for me.

Everyone dealing with was very nice and knowledgeable.

I love the NHS. Thank you so much.

Dear dcoburn86,

Thank you for taking time to share feedback with us about your recent experience of care at the Minor Injuries Unit at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. I'm delighted to hear that our staff were able to reassure you that your ankle was not broken; we all know how painful sprains and strains can also be. I'm pleased that follow-up physiotherapy has been arranged for you and hopefully your recovery will be swift. I'll pass your feedback on to the team. Very best of luck with your new job too!

Best wishes, Lisa Martin,

Patient Experience Public Involvement Team
