"Child immunisation service"

About: Borders General Practices Children and Young People's Services / Health Visiting

(as a service user),

I have asked for my child to not receive routine vaccination appointments, having discussed our particular circumstances with our GP. However, I have received appointment letters seven times, after which I always phone the child immunisation service and request for my child to be removed from having appointments sent out. Each time they agree to do so but there must be a glitch in the system as we continue to be sent out appointments. This is a hassle as I do not wish for these appointments to go to waste and so must phone to cancel them.

Dear baby mama

I am sorry to read that you are still receiving immunisation appointments when you have previously requested your child to be removed from the system.

To enable me to look into this matter I require further information from you. I would therefore be grateful if you could contact the Vaccination Service on 01896 809250 and request to speak to a supervisor who will take your contact telephone number and child's details.

Thanks Nicola
