Following a recent GP referral and thorough set of diagnostic services at TLC, it was found I had a rare and aggressive breast tumour, which required surgery, sooner rather than later.
Every member of staff I encountered on my journey was extremely professional, kind and approachable at every step, and although there have been some blips along the way, I know everyone involved has done their absolute best to ensure I never felt anything less than someone who mattered to them. They do their profession and the NHS proud in their approach to patient care.
The treatment plan was clearly outlined and all my questions answered in layman's language and not the usual medical jargon. From clinical to nursing staff, everyone I've met has been wonderful, and it was particularly reassuring, when prior to my operation, theatre and recovery room staff took a few minutes to introduce themselves. What a simple and thoughtful way to reduce the nervousness. The post operative care has been second to none and all I can say is, one huge thank you to everyone involved. Thus far, I think I've encountered more than 70 clinical/medical and admin personnel, either in person or via telephone; so there may be many more people behind the scenes, providing invisible support, whom I haven't.
